This is far more than a Steak House. It has a wide variety of Seafood dishes including Lobster and Sushi and if that isn’t enough, they have Pastas and Chicken on the menu too. The menu accommodates all sorts of price ranges as well, which is always a bonus, and the servings tend to be really big… so, there is lots of choice here for everyone, in a family friendly atmosphere. The venue has a Western-meets-Island vibe. Often there is interesting live music and lots of chatter. The staff is friendly and helpful….Oh, and the cocktails are big and good too.

Bring a big appetite to this brightly colored magical backyard BBQ restaurant hidden away in Otrobanda. It’s tucked away on a tiny artistic back street near Kura Hulanda, and is worth the hype and worth the effort to find it. The atmosphere is very casual and friendly. We love Lobster, and some days they have HUGE ones. Everything is good on their menu that we’ve ever ordered – especially the Catch of the Day. The specialty cocktails are often themed to the season, and it’s worth asking about specials of the day for drinks. Before or after your meal or drinks, do be sure to walk around this wonderful historic area of town and look at all the murals on the building walls. This is becoming the new art community spurred on by the yearly Kaya Kaya Festival.

This is an old school Italian Restaurant that has absorbed a Caribbean and South American vibe and flavor into its DNA. The menu is so extensive we feel like they have been adding to it ever since they opened in 1984. There is an entire page-long list of Pastas, and they consider themselves a great Steak and Seafood venue – which apparently, they are. And what a location – right over the water – the view here is great night or day. Also close enough for cruise traavelers to get to and from the Cruise Liners on a tight schedule. Delicious food – great location – long history of excellence.
El Gaucho

El Gaucho

This is an Argentinian Steak and Charcoal Grilled Meat Restaurant, that is known as being one of the best and most popular on the Island. They take huge pride in having top-notch cuts of meat and cooking them exactly to your specifications. Steak, Beef and Pork Ribs, Chicken, Lamb, Salmon, Shrimp, Catch of the Day…well you get it…all with that deep charcoal smokey-goodness served in a great atmosphere with a sparkling view of the Island lights.
Equus

This is one unique place. Located on an old horse ranch (thus the name Equus), it is only open once a week on Fridays and the only item on the menu is large XXL Skewers - Chicken, Beef or Vegetarian. When the food arrives, it is hung over your table, and you eat from it with no cutlery. Kids love it. The restaurant is first come first serve, and everything moves at its own pace, which you can’t hurry, because “they don’t care”… this is how they do it, so there is a division of people who absolutely love this place and have been coming here for years, and those that just don’t get the pace and style. Our suggestion is show up early, don’t come if you are in a hurry, be prepared for a culinary experience that is wonderful in its unique simplicity - and if you do that, we think you’ll be in for a very memorable Island experience.

While Espetada House offers an international cuisine, their specialty is the Madeiran “Espetadas” - meat grilled on a metal skewer - a traditional dish from Madeira, where the owners originally hail from. The grill master has been cooking Espetadas since his youth in Madeira. What began as a hobby for the owners has grown into their passion over the years.

Gordo Grill and Bar is located in Punda, surrounded by colorful UNESCO World Heritage structures. They offer delicious Caribbean BBQ of spiced meats and seafood with side options of Pasta, Fries, Rice, Steamed Vegetables or Salad. There is outdoor seating available, and there’s often a Live Street Band playing nearby. TIP: The iconic Curacao sign is less than a minute walk away for Instagram photos.

This is a true time capsule. A neighborhood grill with a large round bar in the middle where you’ll find lots of older locals enjoying a Happy Hour drink and family get togethers. Larry’s has this special old school vibe that grandparents still want to take their kids to, to all squeeze into a booth. Their food is mainly old classics like Roasted chicken and Spare ribs, served with cocktails like Sundae’s and Tequila Sunrises. Tip: Go on a Friday night, they have a live band during Happy Hour.
