Saturday is the final night of a festival weekend that genuinely changes the rhythm of the island. People travel to Curaçao with North Sea Jazz as the reason for the trip, and by Day 3 you feel it everywhere, locals and visitors together, moving between stages and making a full night of it. The festival’s impact reaches well beyond the music, bringing millions into Curaçao’s hotels, restaurants, transportation and other local businesses.
The final night brings another serious mix of talent. AFRO 23 and guitar legend Al Di Meola start at 7:00 PM, Jon Batiste follows at 8:00 PM, and Branford Marsalis and Dianne Reeves come together for their celebration of John Coltrane. The complete Saturday lineup also includes J Balvin, Kassav’ and Stephen Marley, a pretty good example of why North Sea Jazz has become such a big deal for Curaçao.
