Equus is one of those places that's hard to compare to anything else on the island. Located on an old horse ranch, it's only open on Fridays and keeps things remarkably simple: the menu consists of XXL skewers Chicken, Beef, or Vegetarian and that's it.
When your meal arrives, the skewer is hung above the table and everyone helps themselves directly from it. No cutlery, no complicated presentation, just good food shared around the table. Kids tend to love the experience, and first-time visitors usually spend a few minutes taking photos before digging in.
The pace here is entirely its own. There are no shortcuts, no rushing the kitchen, and no sense of urgency. Some people absolutely love that and return year after year. Others find it takes a little getting used to. Our advice is simple: arrive early, settle in, and don't make plans immediately afterward.
If you come expecting a fast dinner, you may miss the point. If you come ready to relax and enjoy a uniquely Curaçao experience, you'll probably understand why this place has built such a loyal following.
