Landhuis Bloemhof is a cultural center where you can visit contemporary art exhibitions, explore artists’ studios and wander the grounds of a historic landhuis dating from 1735. Rotating exhibitions and artist talks bring new work and conversations into the space, while the former studio of artist and arts patron May Henriquez connects it to the island’s creative history.
Outside, you’ll find artist Hortence Brouwn’s outdoor studio and the Cathedral of Thorns, a monumental artwork that also forms a labyrinth. There’s enough here to spend a slow morning or afternoon moving between the gallery, studios and garden, with time to look a little longer.
