Things You Should Know About Harbour View
Garbage Pickup:
- Garbage pickup occurs Wednesday mornings. You'll find a green bin outside to the left of the driveway where you can deposit your bagged garbage. We suggest doing this Tuesday evening as they sometimes come quite early in the morning.
Gardener & Pool Cleaner:
- During your stay, you may run into the gardener and the pool cleaners. They'll be in and out in no time. We apologize in advance for the disruption.
Damages:
- We understand that accidents happen. Please report any damage or breakages as soon as possible so we can address them.
The Drinking Water
- The tap water here comes from a state-of-the-art desalination and filtration system and is perfectly safe to drink. In fact, Curaçao’s tap water meets some of the highest purity standards in the world. You can confidently drink from the faucet (no need for bottled water), but try to conserve water where possible, since it takes a lot of energy to produce and locals are mindful of not wasting it.
Electricity:
- We believe in complete transparency, so please note: 40kw of electricity are provided for each night. Consumption above that is charged separately and is not included in the nightly rate. Usage is billed at $0.50 per kWh and settled from the security deposit at checkout or afterwards. In practice, Curaçao's consistent trade winds keep the villa naturally cool during the day. Most guests find air conditioning is only needed at night with doors and windows closed which keeps usage and costs very manageable. We share this upfront because we'd rather you know before you book than be surprised after checkout.
