Boka Kokolishi

One of the most distinctive spots in Washington Slagbaai National Park, Boka Kokolishi gets its name from the tiny black seashells (“kokolishi”) that blend into the sand, creating a beautiful speckled shoreline. This small bay feels tucked away, framed by rugged cliffs and dramatic rock formations. Shallow tidal pools form along the edge, perfect for a refreshing dip after a day exploring the park’s trails. Waves break on the outer reef, so it’s better suited for wading and wandering than for swimming, but the setting is peaceful and endlessly photogenic especially when the afternoon light hits the textured coast.
