Bright Bakery
Bright Bakery is a beloved local institution on the road to San Nicolas, the kind of place every islander seems to know. It’s bright, bustling, and filled with the smell of fresh bread, pastries, and sweet buns coming out of the ovens all day long. Locals stop in for coffee and pastechi (The islands’ signature fried pastry fille with beef – chicken or cheese) on the way to work or the beach, while visitors heading toward Baby Beach often discover this bright beacon.
The glass counters are stacked with everything from savory sandwiches to cakes and croissants, and there’s usually a lively mix of regulars chatting in line. It’s quick, friendly, and authentically local - the kind of stop that reminds you you’re really in Aruba. Take a number from the machine as soon as you get in and then decide they can get very crowded and stick to the number system.
