34. Hurricane Season
Here's fantastic news: Aruba sits well outside the main Caribbean hurricane belt, making it one of the safest island destinations during hurricane season! While the official Atlantic hurricane season runs from June to November, Aruba's location just 15 miles off the coast of Venezuela means hurricanes almost never make landfall here. The last significant storm to affect the island was over 130 years ago.
You might occasionally see some clouds or brief showers from distant storms passing to the north, but direct hurricane impacts are extremely rare. This makes Aruba a smart choice for year-round travel, even during months when other Caribbean islands might be at risk. Most visitors don't even realize it's "hurricane season" because the island's weather remains consistently sunny and beautiful!
