Haven
Haven is an expansive restaurant and bar on the second floor of the Otrobanda West complex, just steps from Rif Fort, and the cruise ship terminal. The venue is modern and open, with a layout that works equally well for daytime meals and early evenings - and it has great views over the harbor, the Handelskade buildings and the Queen Emma swinging bridge. The interior is large and well air-conditioned, (we like the lighting ) while the outdoor deck has a variety of seating areas, including tables that can easily accommodate larger groups. It’s a welcoming place to linger before or after Otrobanda activities, and it has quickly grown popular with both locals and visitors.
At lunch, the menu is based around a very wide range of poke bowls, with enough variety to suit most tastes if you’re into bowls. In the evening, the menu shifts toward shareable appetizers and a broader selection of traditional dinner dishes with local twists including steaks, local fish, pastas, and a few poke style favorites carried over from lunch. The pace is unhurried, and the setting works well for relaxed meals, drinks, and photos, especially around sunset.
