Bagira, aka The Only Bagira You Know, is one of the island’s rising star artists. Her murals can be found throughout Curaçao and are favorites for people to stop and pose with for photos. Bagira has a real knack for capturing the character of people in her paintings, and you’ll often find that the eyes of her subjects seem to follow you - usually with a knowing smile.



We love Bagira’s warm, smiling energy, entrepreneurial spirit, and self-taught artistic confidence. Stop by The Gallery by Bagira in Kura Hulanda Village, where her bright, art-filled space showcases bold new works that collectors, designers, and locals are drawn to and where “sold” signs often appear on her large canvases as soon as they go up. She’s often in the gallery herself, though with more and more commissions, you may also spot her around town working on her latest pieces.
