Job’s new Super Sandwich shop is a very welcome addition to Grote Berg - and a convenient stop on the way to or from the beaches of Westpunt.
There are not many true sandwich shops on the island, and Super Sandwich Curaçao fills that gap with a grab-and-go menu focused on high-quality sandwiches, specialty coffee, fresh juices, and healthy smoothies.
The team combines quick service with fresh ingredients and homemade flavors, making it a great stop for breakfast, lunch, or a coffee break on the road. The menu includes freshly made classics alongside more creative options featuring pulled pork, stoba, spicy chicken, smoked salmon, brie, and carpaccio - all served on fresh bread.
The menu changes, but on our last visit the Otra Team shared a selection that included the Korean pulled rib sandwich with pickled onion, red pepper, and chives; a spicy tuna melt; warm brie with arugula, honey, and toasted walnuts; smoked salmon with cream cheese, arugula, and chives; and carpaccio with truffle mayonnaise, Parmesan, toasted nuts, and arugula.
These are not ordinary sandwiches. They are generous, satisfying meals made with pride. You can eat inside, take them to the beach for a picnic, or pick something up on the drive back into town. It is the kind of convenient treat that is not always easy to find on the island.
Alongside the sandwiches, we enjoyed barista-style coffee, refreshing smoothies, fresh juices, cookies, and a selection of sweet treats.
We are happy to see this new spot open and especially happy to see our friend Job and his team creating something fresh, useful, and genuinely delicious.
