PADI AWARE Monthly Reef Clean-Up Dive
Join The Dive Bus crew and fellow ocean lovers for a monthly clean-up dive at Pierbaai Reef and the Car Pile, two of Curaçao’s healthiest and most popular dive sites. This ongoing initiative is part of the PADI AWARE Adopt-a-Dive-Site program, where divers come together to remove trash from the reef and help protect marine life.
Since 2005, hundreds of divers have taken part in these clean-up dives, removing tons of debris from Curaçao’s reefs. After the dive, collected trash is logged and submitted to Project AWARE’s global database, helping scientists and conservation groups better understand and reduce ocean pollution. Even if you’re not diving, you’re welcome to help by cleaning up from the shore or assisting with sorting and logging the debris.
• Date: June 13th
• Time: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM
• Location: The Dive Bus – Pierbaai Reef / Car Pile
Participation in the clean-up dive is free and tanks and weights are included. Equipment rentals are available at a special rate of 25 NAFl. Divers should have completed at least one regular dive with a Dive Bus instructor before joining a clean-up dive.
