Kas di Pal’i Maishi is a small museum about rural Afro-Curaçaoan life, set inside a traditional adobe house built around 130 years ago. Household objects bring the focus to everyday routines, showing how people lived and made use of what they had.
The house itself gives you plenty to look at, from its thatched roof to construction methods rooted in the arrival of enslaved Africans. Outside, the backyard serves local food at lunchtime, so there’s a chance to sit down for a meal after exploring the museum.
