North Sea Jazz is a major island event people travel here for. In 2024 alone, more than 6,000 international visitors attended, with the majority traveling specifically for the festival.

Thursday opens the 2026 festival with a strong Cuban lineup. Alain Pérez y La Orquesta starts the night with Afro-Cuban rhythms and jazz, followed by Gente de Zona and the Latin hits that will have a very different kind of crowd on its feet. It’s the first night of three days when Curaçao feels especially alive.
