Otrobanda Art Week returns from 17 to 22 August 2026. For six days, the historic streets of Otrobanda turn into a living gallery of art houses, exhibitions, live storytelling, music and neighborhood hospitality. This year's edition is built so every day brings something different, growing from intimate art days early in the week to a busies program as the week closes. Come for one evening or join us the whole week.
Kaya Kaya Otrobanda Art Week is a six-day celebration of art, creativity and community in Otrobanda, Curaçao. From Monday 17 to Saturday 22 August, artists, curators, partners and neighbors open up houses, galleries and public spaces across the neighborhood, many of them places the public cannot normally enter, or houses that were abandoned for a long time.
Art Week is built around dedicated art houses where local and international artists install and present their work, with an Arthouse guided by professional curators. Alongside the art, visitors can join live storytelling about Otrobanda's history and people, take a guided Artwalkastry tour through the area, enjoy live music and open mic performances, and gather in outdoor zones with food (vendors and pop-eateries), drinks and craft & retail vendors.
Every day has its own character and energy. The early days are slower, more intimate and focused on the art and the stories. As the week goes on, the atmosphere grows more upbeat and social, closing on a high on Saturday. It is worth coming back more than once, because no two days are the same.
