Trapi Kolorido spreads the music across two corners of Otrobanda for Kaya Kaya, with Florence Plasa and Bo’i Palu each getting their own live lineup. At Florence Plasa, the stage brings together Crisen, Patrick & Friends, Umoja, Gigo Martinez and Komper, while Bo’i Palu features The Honey Bees, Ewald, Yuyo Herrera, Stage Rebels and Aisha Lucas.
What makes this part of Kaya Kaya fun is that it’s not one big stage you stand in front of all night. The idea is to keep moving, turn a corner and find another band, another little crowd and another sound waiting there. It fits Otrobanda well music tucked into the neighborhood instead of pulled away from it.
