From October 7 through 11, Ruta Agave moves through MosaCaña, Sal, Caleo and Taqueria Maya, with each stop exploring agave from a different angle. Presented by Maguey Spirits Co. and Solo Espíritu, the week brings mezcal and tequila producers together with Curaçao’s restaurant scene for tastings, dinners, cocktails, music and conversations with the people behind the bottles.
It starts on Wednesday, October 7 at MosaCaña with an invitation-only trade session for bartenders and hospitality professionals. Thursday, October 8 moves to Sal for dinner, mezcal and music, followed by a more intimate gastronomic mezcal and cocktail pairing dinner at Caleo on Friday, October 9. On Saturday, October 10, MosaCaña hosts Mesa de Mezcal, a small-table tasting built around mezcal, food and conversation. The route closes on Sunday, October 11 at Taqueria Maya with tacos, margaritas, mezcal and music in a more open, casual setting.
It’s basically five days of seeing how much can come from agave once you go beyond ordering the usual margarita.
